ARC is volgens at5, gk.nl en reguliers.net gesloten. Hoewel ook zij van geruchten spreken.

Nice bar, not as busy anymore since the opening of April, but still a good place to bring gay and straight friends, drink and talk. Relatively busy on Friday and Saturdays very late evening, reasonably occupied most of the other evening times. Visited mostly by age-groups between 20 and 45, but more twink/fashion in dress code than anything else.

I know the place and visit it for some years ago. Last Sunday afternoon i was in for a drink around 5 h PM. There was really NOBODY! Did the public and the bar change?

i was meeting friends at arc on thursday night. i got there early and thought ill have a drink. ...big mistake.
i was very surprised by the attitude at the bar. not being served or being rude to is the last thing you want to experience when you go out. especially over the PRIDE.
maybe i was not wearing the right t shirt, didnt have the "current" haircut or maybe wasnt waving at the barmen with 200 euro note. i dont know what it was but i will not recommend this venue to anyone from now on.

The Arc is my bar-of-choice to meet up with my friends before we go to parties. It is quite large by Amsterdam-standards and has a very open-minded atmosphere where many people (not just gays) will find themselves at home. Pre-conceived people will definately feel threatened. :)

FYI, in NL is it really common that you pay for toilets. That is not just Arc or Soho, it is (almost) everywhere.

This is, without doubt, the most popular socalled trendy place in Amsterdam. It just shows how low dutch standards tend to be. The decor is badly thought out, the bar staff is unfriendly, and really there's no need to have a line outside the toilet on a busy night... pleas do something about that. After all you want us to pay don't you?
Again, like Soho, it might pay of to walk down to the end of the road to use the public toilet. Off course, only during the weekend.
Music is so so, and the space could do with a think over. Looking for warm and cosy, try somewhere else. Soho comes to mind.

The endless competition of arrogance, bitches and gossips... Want to talk with somebody there? Better forget about it, because you'll be ignored or pissed off.

The barmen.. are beautiful!

Too bad that the barmen and the visitors are a kind of arrogant. Too many queens, awkward walking with head up like "We are so beautiful".

This place is upscale and trendy. I loved the ambience and the crowd. It was a great place to show off to visiting friends from the US. The selection of cocktails also made hanging out at ARC absolutely devine.

Good place for coffee and meeting friends in the early evernings.
