Eagle (closed) at Eagle

Dirty Dicks re-opened quite surprisingly yesterday (july 22th). According to staff the Eagle will reopen within a few weeks too! Yes!!!!

Unfortunately the owner was found dead in a hotel in Florida, nothing suspicious. Hence both bars being closed due to 'personal circumstances'.

Ik was hier bij de FF-party en ik vond het LEUK! Aardige ontvangst aan de garderobe en aan de bar. Het was schoon en er kwam regelmatig iemand langs om schoon te maken en te checken. Handschoenen liggen gewoon bij de bar, bij de ingang. Er was niet veel publiek, misschien door al die enge verhalen hier... Maar er waren wel een paar extreem goede fisters. Als we de Eagle een kans geven en als fisters hier naar toe gaan, hebben we er weer een geile fistparty bij. Hoe meer zielen, hoe meer vreugd, of niet soms? Gewoon gaan!

Hi. I was recently in the Eagle, and I agree, the one barman isn't overtly friendly. I go because I like to meet real men. You know, the hairy, burly type :), although I don't dare go downstairs (LOL big chicken and shy). I don't worry about the owner or staff and the fact that it's dirty downstairs, well, do like I do and don't go down there! I was surprised at the activity in the toilet. I just went to piss and there were all these guys with their ***s out. I nearly fainted from the smell. If you go to the loo there, hold your breath, unless you're into that sort of thing. I plan on going this Friday if anyone wants to meet for a drink.

As an amsterdam guy i reallly would not recommend this place. It is really very bad in every sence. This is the only place open at five in amsterdam, nothing else is left. The staff is very unfriendly, not to compare 2 any other Amsterdam bar. The owner is only after his money and is even negative towards locals (the grey short haired guy and the wanne B muscled armed tatoo guy are only payed to sell their smile.It doesnt work though and they are very very unfriendly). Please skipp this bar.... Its better to go to Argos! Youu Hear it from a local....

ago feint not to understand English. I had already drunk five times and, to being go out for a moment from the bar, to mine I re-enter has expected that you still drank. After speaking really bad, has hunted to me from the bar. A barman truly stupid,arrogating, like all the Dutch gay. The bar, like many other premises, is dirtiest, very very bad. Not the council to nobody, thus like not Amsterdam council, dear gay. A real disappointment.

What a bunch of whinging wankers!! Of the three regular bar-staff, two are Dutch and one is English! Hardly 'places we dont (sic) know about', unless NL Gaywatch is truly a moron. And as for the owner having the fattest arse... NL Gaywatch confirms his moron status as he clearly has the wrong bar! In my experience, this bar is rarely empty at 2:30 a.m. Like the other bars around it on the Warmoesstraat, business kicks in after midnight, generally. The same goes for the Argos, Dirty Dicks and the Cockring (closed at the time of posting this comment), even though all these bars open at 10pm. These are LATE BARS, people! If you delicate little wallflowers need your beauty sleep then go fuck in the Cuckoo's Nest or the Spijker which close at 1 during the week! And as for people complaining about the dirtiness. That is the point!! It amazes me that guys going for a dirty fuck with a random stranger in the dark complain about the dirtiness. Stop and think for a moment, will you?!!

What a piece of s**t. The bar staff are all from places we dont know about, the owner has so much attitude and the fattest arse i have seen. Is this a Leather bar...ho ho ho...I think not.

visited the eagle last wednesday 15/4/10 and i was alone with the barman until 12,30 when i left

I know a lot of people do not like this 'dirty'place, but let's face reality: Eagle is the only bar where I can play bare without those damn warnings of safe sex all the time. The owner is right: it's the responsibility of the customers to play safe or bare. I want to fuck bare without boundaries, so I go to the Eagle. If you don't like this attitude from customers or staff, just go to another bar and don't complain anymore!!

I agree with you onno.the owner of the eagel is so a such a bith that he bigins to feel It the bar begins to stay empty til 2:30.the problem is that many peopel things that de barkeaper is a bitch but he has to do for the boos If not he gets fired. Its is a very dirty place, no services and the condoms he get it for nothing, he thasn't have to pay for It. peopel boycot this dirty placer

Picture this saturdaynight...i am in a horny mood so why not? i go to the eagle....
go to the darkroom to enjoy and play around....find this guy with a good firm big dick and yes we like to fuck...but oeps we both forgot to bring condoms with us!So i go upstairs ask for some condoms and some lube get two condoms and two lube...so far so good!But then i realise that two small packages of lube might not be suficiant for that big dick so ask for two more.....No i couldn't get any cause two was the max!I offer some money to get some more.......no iwas not allowed more!?So i make myself clear that i find this a bit funny.....then i get a reply back that it is my own responsibilty to take my lube and condoms!So sad...a leather sex bar in amsterdam 2010 refusing a costumer to protect itself in a responsible way..........Boycot now!

Al een jaar of 5 geleden heb ik gezegd dat Eagle geen bestaansrecht meer heeft. (zie review op www.fistrik.com) Waarom er toch nog steeds mensen naar deze tent gaan snap ik echt niet. Gelukkig zijn er nu wel een aantal goede, schone en veilige FF parties in Amsterdam, namelijk in Sameplace en Club Church. Wel erg jammer voor de stad dat de Eagle kritiek niet ter harte neemt. Ik heb een poging gewaagd door op een opbouwende manier kritiek te geven, maar daarop is nooit antwoord gekomen...

Mensen die naar deze zaak gaan steunen de slavernij. de baas is de slechtste baas van amsterdam hij is een lul die geen rekeningen met zijn klanten of zijn personeel houd, de personeel wordt als slaven behandelen en de klanten als honden. geen zeep geen toiletpapieren geen sevices aleen geld oppotten de rich bitch 4keer per jaar op vacantie met business class op de kost van de personeel. mensen niet naar deze tend gaan. geen cent besteden hier.spa blauw is gowoon water uit de kraan maar wel 3 euro batallen.boycot deze tend

Het is inderdaad werkelijk te gek voor woorden dat de eigenaar met zulke hoge prijzen voor consumpties te beroerd is om ook werkelijk maar een cent te investeren in de Eagle en Dirty Dicks. Al jarenlang een cd player die hapert, slechte muziek, gore smerige darkroom/vloer etc. Zelfs de spelletjesautomaten werken niet (maar nemen uiteraard wel je geld!). Even zorgen dat er een aangename temperatuur is zodra je de tent opengooit? Forget it! Als je op een barkruk gaat zitten moet je oppassen dat je er niet doorheen zakt....Enfin, zo kan je nog wel ff doorgaan. Blijkbaar heeft hij niet door dat deze manier van een bar uitbaten averechts werkt. Ja, hij klaagt steen en been over het wegblijven van de klandizie. Maar met zo'n beleid is dat toch niet verwonderlijk? Wees eens wat aardiger voor je klanten en zorg dat je de boel eens flink opknapt en dan ook onderhoud! Volgens mij is dat de basis van ondernemen: investeren, investeren, investeren!!

The terrible way the Eagle and Dirty Dicks are run (both have the same owner) are making the Warmoesstraat become a less desireable place to go for gays in Amsterdam and for the tourists that come to visit. Both these bars are the reason the Warmoesstraat is well on it's way to having a bad name as a has been place for gays to go out in Europe. This is a pity because both the Argos and the Cockring are well run progressive places that do their best to reinvent themselves over time and offer something of value to their customers. It's apparent that the Eagle/Dirty Dicks owner is either too cheap to invest in his bars or just doesn't care much about making them fun well-run places anymore. Some investment in refurbishment: new toilets, better lighting, renewed darkroom areas, good music(that isn't the same every week), a cleaner atmosphere, and papertowels for in the darkroom would go a long way to making these bars better. Lets hope he does something a about it before both these places close for good--but I"m not going to hold my breath...

Finally after so many years people open their mouth about this bar . The prices keep on going up and nothing changes in the bar . The cd player skips for months and toilet paper or paper to wipe yourself probely cost to much . The owner is a cheap agresive man who yells at all the toerist . With the years heard all the complains from toerist how they where treated by Paul . HE think he can do anything what he wants because there are not many bars with darkroom who are late open . But lately its very quiet and people stay away because they think its Dirty ,old and expensive . To pay 1,50 for a coat or 3 euro s for a bag is really ridiculous .He askes discotheek prices while he is just a bar . All the staff is always complaining about the owner ,does he not know he has a bad reputation by even his own employees ? No people its crazy that for so many years people took this crap . Hope he reads all this and start changing the bar and his additude .So maybe Amsterdam can atract more toerists again and people in amsterdam like to go out again instead of sitting behind their pc .
