Was in Eve on a Saturday night from midnight to 2.30, two days after the reopening. The bar was crowded, but you could still move through the bar without pushing. I liked the mix of people, ranging from (very) young to older, straight and gay mixed.
Everyone was well dressed (traditional classy to uber trendy), without the stand-offishness that was sometimes associated with the bar in its previous guise as Arc. A good dj was playing (non-vocal) tunes. There is a mix of experienced bartenders to new bartenders who are still learning, but even when something went slow the accompanying smile ('am I doing it right?' made it more than ok.
The new look was well done. The basic lay out is similar, but modernized and repainted. New features are a hearth and booths that look comfortable (and integrated into the main bar). The changed lighting was the big plus for me, a warm and comfortable feeling resulted. Overall, a very good night. This time I spent it chatting in the back in the chairs chatting with friends and acquaintances, but looking forward to also visit and just hang in the front.
