Rapido XL Experience at Heineken Music Hall

Heerlijk commentaar over XL. HMH is ook niet mijn locatie, hoewel de zaal zelf goed was aangekleed qua licht & geluid. Mooi stukje vakwerk! Alleen die TL-verlichting in de gangen om de zaal heen, hm... weinig sfeervol. Zal wel met regelgeving of HMH-beleid te maken hebben?
Maar Offer Nissim rocked, en daar kwamen we toch voor? Loved it!

En vergelijken met Circuit Barcelona, zou ik persoonlijk ook niet doen, want ook daar betaalde je je dit jaar scheel voor entree & drinks.

Dear Thomas, I think your judgment is totally based on the amount of visitors and not on the actual party itself. RAPIDO is one of Europe's well know and sold out events (6/7 years now and EVERY edition!) I went on the bus myself and did not have to wait for more then 10 minutes ( there and back) and the distance by underground is also just 15 minutes so your "elendig langen" comment is totally misplaced. Rapido is also part of Circuit Festival Barcelona ;-)
Ofcourse you are entitled to your own opinion, I just don't agree with yours because I feel it's not realistic ;-)

@Toine und alle anderen, die diese Veranstaltung ernsthaft mit "gut" bewerten!
Die Veranstaltung endete um 7 Uhr. Um 7 Uhr fuhr auch der letzte Bus. Toll für die, die bis zum Schluss geblieben sind und dann für 50 € mit dem Taxi oder mit der Metro und dem Bus den elendig langen Weg zurück ins Zentrum antreten mussten!
Das nennst du eine fantastisch gute Organisation? Schau mal über deinen beschränkten Tellerrand zu den wirklichen Circuit-Parties in Barcelona. Dann erfährst du erstens wie eine wirkliche Party aussieht und zweitens erfährst du ein wenig über gute Organisation und Management, denn hier fahren alle Busse noch eine Stunde nach Ende der Veranstaltungen!

Ik moet ook helaas meegaan met de vorige spreker. RAPIDO XL was gewoon fantastisch goed georganiseerd. Er gingen frequent bussen heen en weer dus dat het buiten de stad was who cares. Ok, Edgar had vast ook gewild dat het helemaal vol zat maar dat heb je niet in de hand. Er is zat promotie gemaakt maar kennelijk te veel om te kiezen. Dat een feest een minder aantal bezoekers heeft dan verwacht wil nog niet zeggen dat het een slecht feest is! De aankleding was super, geluid ( daar let ik dan weer op) echt fantastisch. Offer Nissim ( ja mensen zo spel je zijn/haar naam) vind ik persoonlijk ook niet geweldig maar wereldwijd heeft deze meid het prima voor mekaar en de anderen maakten het weer meer dan goed. Dat is nu een line up voor elk wat wils want er waren er ook zat die ervan hebben genoten ( onbegrijpelijk maar wel de waarheid) Edgar, ik hoop dat je het gewoon nog een keer gaat proberen want ik had iig een superavond!

Wat een bullshit allemaal over Rapido XL. Het feest was goed. Misschien nietnhelemaal zoals Edgar Bonte het bedoeld maar er waren genoeg mensen binnen om het gezllig druk te hebben. En....hij durft risico's te nemen. Edgar zet Amsterdam al jaren weer op de kaart met Rapido en daar genieten we allemaal van! Voor mij volgend jaar weer XL. Er komen dan vast weer meer mensen. Thumbs up Edgar en crew. O ja liever geen Nissam.

Okay, whoever rates this event with 3 or more stars is simply delusional. Some people obviously have no clue what a party is all about. This event was announced with the slogan: "we are going to create history". Well you did prove one thing, RAPIDO-Team, you clearly demonstrated how to make an event that already failed before, suck even more this time around! Way to go!

Artur-RU sure you are on the guys from the gets list. Your face is not directed in the right direction, your reply is as crappy than the English you are complaining a bout from other guys I think that the extras() you have taken has helps you to think that tings ho are crap are good.The majority was 100% not happy with Offer Nissim there are better DJ's to get and saves also money

Truly surprised to read about the negativity of some reviews below. I can’t say anything else than that Rapido XL Experience was the best dance party of pride Saturday in Amsterdam! It is true that the second floor was supposed to be open, but I support the decision of the organisation to concentrate the crowd on just the big floor. The international party crowd, DJ line-up (especially Abel!), laser shows were more than alright to have a good time! Possible reason why people may have been disappointed about the XL event, is that they expect the party like Rapido at Paradiso. However, the Paradiso event has grown extremely popular in almost 7 years, thanks to its magic combination of venue, DJ’s, acts and …. excess of crowd due to the limited capacity of the Paradiso venue. Rapido is simply the BEST circuit party of Europe at the moment, attracting people from all over the world. Therefore, I am not surprised the XL Experience could not reach the same level for the very first time, especially not on this evening with so many other parties held simultaneously. People rating the event with 1- or 2-stars or reviews written in crappy English or Dutch, shouldn’t be taken so seriously, shame on them!

I have visited all 4 Rapido events last weekend. Rapido XL was quiet good. I did enjoy the music, the atmosphere, the public. HMH was a large venue indeed, but honestly there were more people than what I had expected visiting the event. I loved DJ Pacheco and Abel very much. What a music! Well, it seemed that Offer Nissim was doing such an experiment, he was just trying something new. However, Rapido XL shouldn't be the place to introduce his 'new sound'. We're all expecting his true sound: 'First Time' and 'For You Love' kinda thing. We missed that! His performance at Supermartxe in Madrid Gay Pride in July was unbelievable good! Such a pity he couldn't catch the same level this time. But I am still his fan though. What can I say more? IMO, the sound system could have been better too. More speakers at different corners of a large HMH are essential to create decent stereo sounds. Many people were dancing on the stage to feel this 'stereo' effects, something they didn't experience on the main floor. However, Rapido XL was organized to give all of you (and people who failed to buy Rapido Classic's ticket on time) a chance to still experience RAPIDO in Amsterdam. Can't we show a bit appreciation? Being critical is good, but don't forget to mention good things you guys had experience there. Rapido XL this time was definetely much better than Rapido XL last year at WesterUnie or Marcanti edition. My idea: If Rapido Classic is a huge succes, is it possible to organize TWO Rapido's Classic next year: one on Saturday and the other one on Sunday, both at Paradiso?? I am sure it will be the best solution to prevent any kind of dissapointments.

I loved Offer Nissim 2 year ago at Marcanti Club. But this time he tried playing "hard" and forgot playing his music. Like somebody told him he has to! I was really disappointed! He is perfect for a pre-party but not the right person for a Rapido. I didn't like the HMH! Too big and no "Club-feeling". Also negative: They have been telling us the last 3 months there will be 2 rooms with different types of music and also a great live performance by a famous person. If there is a change i'd like to be informed. All DJ's played in the huge hall one by one like a fast train. They had no other opportunity. Same schedule but only one room.Last XL Party turned into a desaster and this one also. Only 5 stars for ABEL! He catched us once again with his great Music. Would like to say more posstive things but unfortunately i can't... The Classic Rapido Party on Sunday was a Sucess! Except the heat inside

This event was a big failure. Offer Nissim was horrible and had no idea what he was playing. People left the area cause they couldn't stand that shitty music. The hall looked ridiculously empty by the time he was done. People quickly returned to the dancefloor when Abel started to spin. But even him – giving his best – couldn't save that "party" anymore!

I agree with the last review. Nissam is not a good DJ. I did hear a lot of guys saying this also. But i did like rapido XL .

Wat a disgusting music from Nissam save your money if you see a organizer book this so cold DJ hi is better off at home but not at a party hire, the venue is good for a Rapido party on Sunday not when there are other party's going at the center we are not at New York its Amsterdam there are not
enough gays or visiting to fill a place good for 3000 people Sorry for the Rapido guys the try but its better to inform before the take this kind off decisions organizing this big party's And pleas do NO MORE BOOK NISSAM !!!!!

Wanneer je de hele dag in een overvolle stad hebt doorgracht en vervolgens per bus naar een totaal verlaten Zuid-oost gebracht wordt, naar een locatie waarbij de entree meer weg heeft van de vertrekhal van Schiphol,kun je dit een redelijke afknapper noemen. Zaal was te groot, 1/3 van de aanwezigen stond op het podium, hierdoor werd de zaal nog groter. Amsterdam is te klein voor één of meerdere mega-events op één avond. Mijn advies is om voor volgend jaar de krachten (en geld) te bundelen voor een Rapido in White?

Wij vonden de zaal ook veel te groot! De muziek, lichtshow en het publiek waren super. De aankleding was te sober, alleen op het podium iets, en de acts waren niet top, zoals beloofd. Volgende keer blijven we in het centrum, een zaak van op tijd kaartjes bestellen. Dit was te ver weg.

We had a great time at Rapido XL at HMH, with its great acoustics and very friendly staff. Even though the place was not fully packed, it didn't matter so much. The crowd formed a diffuse cloud around the DJ booth and podium, and the good thing was there was plenty of space to dance (unlike the main floor at Paradiso), while the place didn't appear very empty. Offer Nissim played a breathtaking set that rocked the place. Decoration was a bit basic, but LED panels and laser shows were ok.
I think the Rapido organisation did a great job attracting more than 2000 people to the out-of-town entertainment area while so many competitive events were held in the city centre. Hope they will give it a second chance!

Though the party wasn't that bad, the venue was far too big. We were all afraid that this would happen.

organizers totally overshot themselves. while they clearly expected a huge turn out, attendance was disappointling low for the size of the hall. It was also too far outside Amsterdam's main pride events. never doing this again!

Why has the image on the flyer suddenly been changed? To fill the HMH with "openminded" straights? We all know what kind of party it will turn into..

Have some doubts about this ambitious party..
