After reading the comments here I thought I'll share my experience. I was at the sauna last wednesday morning after the long weekend. Even though it was not that crowded I enjoyed my visit. People in there were relaxed and up for fun. The place was clean. Certainly not as dirty as some say in their comments. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I sure will be back. Thanks

Gistermiddag erg blij verrast; ze hebben iets verbouwd, althans, het is veel strakker, schoner en opgeruimder dan vroeger, die prularia beneden is verdwenen, de muziek is zachter op de achtergrond (gelukkig geen radio met reclame en lullende dj's waar ik een wegtrekker van krijg). Het personeel was vriendelijk. Overigens werden de wc's tussendoor ook nog eens flink gesopt dus ik vind dat er echt wat veranderd is. Maar....veel belangrijker: ik had drie keer een heerlijke encounter met resp. een mooie franse tourist van noord-afrikaanse origine, en twee heerlijke blonde hollandse 'twink'-jongens allen met lekkere grote apparaten tussen hun benen. Ik heb mijn handdoek bijna niet om gehad. (Gelukkig geen bingo (aargh), natuurlijk waren er ook 50+'ers, maar ja, daar val ik toevallig niet op, dus daar heb ik niet zo'n aandacht voor) Ik kwam net zo verzadigd en gelukzalig de deur uit als vroeger in de nachtsauna. Oude tijden herleven weer.

Ik (20jaar) en mijn vriend (22jaar) zijn afgelopen weekend in Amsterdam geweest. 1 van de dingen die we hebben bezocht was deze sauna. Na het lezen van voorgaande reviews twijfelden we zeer hard, maar hebben het dan toch gedaan. Ik kan zeggen dat de meeste reviews overdreven zijn. Zowel op vrijdagnacht als zaterdagnacht was het proper en was er geen sprake van een doordringende stank. Oudere mensen waren er inderdaad, maar degene die zegt dat er niemand fatsoenlijk te vinden is, overdrijven zeer sterk. Het is perfect mogelijk om daar zonder enige schaamte te relaxen. Ik moet er wel bijzeggen dat wij gewoon gingen om eens te kijken hoe het eraan toeging, niet om te zoeken naar sex maar wij vinden de sauna allesinds wel een aanrader. Dus als je in amsterdam bent, en twijfelt om hierheen te gaan, kan ik maar 1 ding zeggen ... ZEKER DOEN !

gisteren in de sauna bingo! kan iemand mij vertellen wie daar op zit te wachten? net als in een bejaardentehuis, wat de sauna inmiddels is geworden! de luidsprekers staan in het hele gebouw aan dus de mensen die daar niet van gediend zijn moeten verplichte meegenieten van deze proleten kermis! voor de rest alleen maar saai met allemaal oude mensen! dit kan nooit echt lang meer gaan duren!

Been there couple weeks ago on a Saturday as tourist. Very pushy & crowded. Police and paramedics came in. Visitor was down. Probably drugs or heart attack. Staff very nervous and panicked. They did not close that area directly. Luckily visitors remained calm. Left when the lockers and exit were cleared. brrr

Lets face it amsterdam is dead as a gay city, and in thermos it seems the dead are walking around. At times it felt like a scene from The_Walking_Dead, old guys stalking me even when told politely no thanks.. beached whales laying in the cabins in the dark.. the smell, the attitude, it felt like a strange brothel from a horror film..
Do yourself a favor and go to London, Paris or Berlin..

Way too expensive for what it offers. All the cabins always stink of shit everytime I've been there. Can't stand the bitter queens lying in their cabin, like some cheap prostitute in the red light district, and hogging those places all night, so that when u meet someone, you can't find any space to have sex with a nice fella.
for all i care the dykes in holland break and Amsterdam is flooded and sinks away into non existence. What a horrible small minded city. Not liberal at all.

Do not go to this place! I went to this sauna for the first time in 2009 was my first time in a sauna and it was horrible already at the time, after so long I decide to go back to see how has change after so long and what I can tell you is: nothing has changed! From the guy working as a "cashier" to the "barman" still the same. Inside looks like a scary movie! A bunch of weirdo old man walking like dead people, some of then using that disgusting "cock ring"showing all over walking at our direction, yesterday has one elder queen using those metal clips at the nipples and I could see blood all over his chest. The steam room smell like piss, impossible to stay inside, the second floor a strong, I am saying a very strong stink of shit like a open public toilet! Talking about toilets all the floor is wet and you can not tell what is piss and what is water because of the horrible smell and yellow color! The cabins are complete dirty of semem and used condons at the floor. At the bar some black guys that I suppose are brazilians prostitutes speaking and laughing louder, talking in that language that only theirself understand. At the all building only 5 TVs Only screen the same movie, well I am not even gonna mention how disgusting look the "jacuzzi" and the "swimming pool". Don't follow those advertises of gay life in Amsterdam, this place is horrible and it is a complete waste of you time and money.
I had not been to Thermos for two years because of all the negative reviews here on Nighttours, but I gave it another try and I was happy I did. They realy made some changes for the better. It was clean as could be for a crowded Saturdaynight and enough good looking guys!

gaypride friday 3 aug, was there around midnight. very very dirty, condoms on the floor everywhere cabins are full with cum and condoms, toilets dirty its absolutely disgusting that no one cleans 19 euro for lots of diseases. Its about time amsterdam gets a new an fresh sauna!!!!!

I read some of the reviews and I was left wondering what are the condoms for? and allso if someone is so scared about STDs why go there and aren't condoms to prevent diseases? I go to this bathhouse every time I am in AMSTERDAM it is not the best in EUROPE but not the worst either it is true that late in the evening the cabins are left dirty with used condoms , towels and other debri I guess is because the lack of personnel as for the staff been rude I cannot say anything either way I just pay the entrance fee and don't see them again. I do not go to the bar at all because I like my drinks strong and over there like in many bars the drinks are too water down . The clientele varies sometimes there are beautiful guys in the mix and the not do beautiful from twinks to grandpas ( like in any other sauna) sometimes is busy sometimes it is not is a hit and miss . I have met very handsome and nice guys from other European countries but I like them between mid 30s to late 40s attractive and in good shape and also like in any sauna in the world some guys are looking for the white ones young and handsome but that's par for the course as long as I visit AMSTERDAM I will go to thermas .
