Thermos sauna, the most depressing atmosphere, it hasnt been upgraded for 25 years or so, looks dirty, and old fashioned, a shame for amsterdam and its gay community. The staff has got no class aswell the sauna , full of kitchy stuff. No wonder that that are not many nice guys go there , if you have style this joint makes you puke. the entree fee of 20 euro is way overpriced, you get two towel wich are thin like toiletpaper. the music is everywhere and choice of the staff , its cheap disco and dutch songs, not horny at all. the staff is not open for any complains.It is so easy to restyle this sauna and think of playing music wich is not making ya getting a soft one . Amsterdam has got a lot of good stylist and interiour decorators, the can make a good plan for the years to come , and be proud of the sauna , instead of being ashamed. Dont go to the Thermos, its cheap teasteless, dirty , bad taste of music and unfriendly staff.Iemand met maar een greintje smaak gaat hier leiver niet naar toe dat blijkt ook uit de clientele , natuurlijk af en toe een verdwaalde toerist. Wat een verlopen kitchtent, 25 jaar niets aan gedaan en dat is te zien , niet meer van deze ijd , een schande .Er zijn hele mooie saunas , die wel geil zijn en met smaak zijn ingericht , dit is een ordinaire tent waar de goedkope muziek te hard staat. Je krijgt er een slappe van . 20 euro dat is pas zonde van het geld. Ik ga liever naar de coockoocs nest drink daar een biertje en dan heb ik in de darkroom meer plezier en geiler dan hier. Een gemistte kans voor de eigenaar , maar het is duidelijk dat die er niet om geeft. huur een goed stylist en binnenhuis architect in en maak er wat van en laat amsterdam weer eens trots zijn op de sauna .investeer!!!!!!goud, koper , rookspiegels, david beelden, etalagepoppen , nepbloemen, bruintinten, plastic schroten,kapotte zeepbakjes,corry konings , luv, zangeres zonder naam , brrrrr doodeng

Old, stinks, dirty and no hot guys ehat so ever! Thermos got the most ugliest gays and i've been a few times also at queensnight. If you think these guys are hot thrn i feel sorry for you. People here have STD's and HIV it really scares me and ill never go again. Sauna smells literally like urine from 30 days ago awfulllll and then thry dump mint in it for fresh smell which lasts for 30 min and then comes the urine again! Cabins are dirty and broken locks.. Lube and sperm or used condoms come standard with the cabin cause pigs dont know how to keep it tidy and clean. Desperate guys crawl over the "walls" of the cabin to watch you fuck i mean howw desperate can you be?? Stalking!!! At least i had it.. They all walk after you after you said no for the 10th time ?? I mean where is your dignity?? Grandpa's have the guts to touch you!!! I fucking punched a guy in the face for squeezing my butt. 2 dudes even started a catfight because of the desperateness and others had to break them up!! A guy overdoased in the darkroom and ambulance had to come get him so alllll the light went on!! People sleepp in the cabins!! I mean really sleeping including snorring and everything!! Keeping cabins busy for nothing! Others sit in the cabins waiting desperately like its a red light district.. The bar is way too expensive for the 2 drops of alcohol they mix with coke..flip flops cost €6,50 or something when at other saunas in europe you get them for free! Awful awful awful awful place! Darkroom upstair is to be called the HIV room! Bare all the way and it stinkssss! Let me learn you guys something: if a guys dick smells or tastes funny he got a disease like STD/SOA!! Darkroom people who go random bare are ready to die! Guy at the front desk has such an attitude but for what? Dude is uglier than a .... Just keep it friendky with your clients indian! Thats the only way people will talk to you cause it will not be because of your looks!

I visit Thermos once in a while, and today was really the most disappointing day ever. It looks like the owner has been handing out flyers with discount coupons in every nearby old people's home. Sunday afternoon traditionally had a exciting buzz with diverse - but mostly fine men. But now has been taken over by grandpa's. And I really mean grandpa's: one men walked with a stick, another even had a stoma! Most of them are just staring at you nonstop, some even gave up decency in return of just touching your dick for a millisecond.Jan: stop the standard discount given to elderly people, and instead make tuesday 'senior' day with reduced discount and - optional - complementary v1agra pills.Secondly, remove the "No prostitution, No drugs" signs or enforce them instead of encouraging prostitutes openly (yeah, I mean that young boy walking around in an orange bermuda). You even knew he was using marijuana as you were making fun out of it.Ow, and for all people still wanting to go: really check your bill for 'ghost' consumptions, as random purchases are added to increase profits.

ik was er op 1e paasdag van 3 uur 's middags tot 8 uur 's avonds , goede bedoelingen werden getoond door de aanwezigheid van een dj en een paar schalen met hapjes en nepchampagne ... en verder ? douches die het niet doen , een toilet kapot ... de helft van de gasten is over de 70 , net zo oud dus als het hele thermosconcept ... een groot tv scherm bij de pool laat " animalplanet " zien , volgens mij is thermos een seksclub , mogen we dan misschien naar iets anders kijken ? verder klanten die urenlang een cabine bezet houden , alleen maar door er domweg te blijven liggen in de ijdele hoop dat er ooit iemand binnen komt ... grootste irritatiefactor ? die hele club marokkaanse hoerenjongetjes die maar om de eigenaar heen hangen , ik word doodziek van al dat wederzijdse geflikflooi en het draagt helemaal niets bij aan de sfeer in de thermos , stop er gewoon mee : het is ranzig en zo onprofessioneel en dat geldt eigenlijk voor de hele sauna , geen aanrader dus !

Hi I stay three nights in Amsterdam and I visit Thermos Sauna. Staff was too arrogant unhelpful extreme bad attitude.there where no many guys there yeah 10 older guys or so and I really dont mind older men they were mostly tops and well hung and I really get good fuck soft kiss and alot of touch what am into but next night was dead saturday unusual for big city like Amsterdam you think? All in all 20 euro was too high price to pay and heey I really did not see frindly Dutch people. Its like South Africa, dont ask me and dont talk to me. Well I dont advice ant one to go for break. btw its very cold and dumpy houses no a good place.

Ik heb de reacties hier gelezen, ook die van Jan. Er valt wat voor te zeggen, en niet elke sauna kan superluxe zijn. Ja, Thermos is duur maar zit ook in de binnenstad - hoewel dat niet voor iedereen een voordeel is (parkeren).Maar: jan, komop. Stop met het gratis naar binnen laten van arabische jongens om deze om je heen te verzamen. Het is patetisch, onprofessioneel en zoals Mark al aangaf: sfeerverziekend. Het personeel kan gewoon vriendelijk kijken (inclusief die Mexicaanse schoonmaker 's nachts), maar bovenal: die gozer die altijd aan de whiskey zit met kleding aan, die sowieso uit je zaak zetten.

A nice place to go to and have fun, mostly because the visitors are a diverse mix from locals and tourists. The sauna itself needs some revisions, as it becomes quite outdated, especially compared to some of the newer German sauna's.But the big disadvantage of this sauna is the owner (a 65 old grandpa) and his aggressive toyboy. Both are always wearing normal clothes, are chasing the younger visitors, and are drinking alcohol beyond an acceptable limit (hence, the latter is always drunk, and not a good combination for someone that is already a bit aggressive). Their presence and behavior is ruining the relax atmosphere.Despite Amsterdam being promoted as 'a gay friendly city', it's the only sauna and hence they can afford their limitations (and irritations). When another more modern and 'professional' sauna would open it's doors, I think Thermos will be history soon.

Vorig jaar bij een gaysauna in Londen Waterloo geweest, weet de naam eventjes niet meer, maar wat een verschil in positieve zin, die sauna wordt constant door het personeel schoongemaakt, het is overzichtelijk, er is vriendelijk personeel, weliswaar veel Oost-Europeanen, maar dat maakt niet uit, goede muziek en tv-screens met films en muziek.Een tijdje terug naar de Thermos geweest, wat een aftandse oude sauna is het geworden, het enigste pluspuntje wat ze daar hebben is de rookruimte met airconditoning, publiek is gemiddeld 50 jaar of ouder, niet mijn leeftijdscategorie in ieder geval, muziek was niet om aan te horen, kortom een dikke onvoldoende

ik was er ook gisteren en heb een prima tijd gehad :P

Was er vanmiddag een paar uurtjes. Bijna 20 euro entree voor een sauna die duidelijk op zijn retour is. Geen klachten over de medewerkers, maar het gedrag van de eigenaar is tenenkrommend. Vooral als het gaat om die ´jongensharem´ die om hem heen hangt, niemand anders een blik waardig keurt en nogal een stempel zet op de sfeer. Daar jaag je dus je betalende klanten mee weg. Wanneer je een leuke man treft is het OK, maar in deze tijd kan dat sneller, goedkoper en schoner. Is het een bordeel of een sauna? Ik vraag me af hoe lang ze het nog vol houden...

Hey all. Wanted to visit this sauna since the day i moved here. Had read all the reviews in here about it so went there this evening a bit cautious. The counter man was smiley and helpful, and cute. Got in, undressed, found someone (someone found me) within 15 minutes in the pool, went up, and that was it. That was i was searching and was what i found so all good for me:) Im going back. Just a question...there is one wet and one dry sauna right? If yeah, then the wet sauna is tad too small.

Visited the sauna on Sunday 26 Febr. with the theme 'Exotic'; It was very busy, a nice crowd, a good atmosphere and with Eliot as DJ it was like a T-dance. The food in the restaurant was very tasty and affortable. The staff was friendly. One suggestion for the owner; don't show your sexual preferences too openly and behave yourself more as a host.

A total has been, like Amsterdam in general. Old fashioned, unfriendly, cold and almost empty. Was there on 3 different occasions Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday. Always mediocre and only the other "lost tourists" were of any interest. If you're looking for fun there are so many much better cities in Europe.

20 Euros for the entrance is extremely high compared to a dozen of abive 50 years old men. The staff is behaving as it was a charity service. I didn't see a smile on one face of them. If I only were the manager!

i was visiting amsterdam from canada over christmas, saw the ads, thought i'd drop by. it was my first time at a bathhouse, it was a lot tamer than i expected, maybe it was a quiet night? only one couple around my age (20s), rest were way old. i had a nice swim and sweat routine, wasn't really interested in much more. people were friendly with their hands, i didn't mind. very utilitarian feel.

It was my first time in a sauna. I had read all the negative reviews but decided to go anyway, having no big expectations. I had a great time there, it was Wednesday afternoon and there were many more men than I expected.It's true that 50% were 50 but most of them were in a very decent shape. Never had seen so many big cocks in such short time. There were also younger guys and all sort of nationalities but most men were mainly Dutch.The place was clean, no odors of any kind. The moanings in the cabines area were just a big turn on. I would certainly come back.

Clean, there were few nice guys, not many but it was ok, most of client had more then 50 y o, but there were some young and good looking guys as well. The staff is not rude, and quite funny and kind! the entrance is little bit expensive, but its ok, you should pay the entrance and about 20€ for consummation reserve.

will the Thermos ever be revamped? its been looking the same from inside for the last 22 years... its getting boring!... Guys (owner) Thermos if you wanna be a real player in the world of sex saunas then take a look at some of the most up to date saunas in Europe... maybe something like Sweatbox in Soho london thats horny... make it hot and sleazy not like some sort of bad scenery from South Pacific. Waarom krijg ik geen bevestigingsmail om mijn review te kunnen plaatsen???Jan, neem eens een voorbeeld als de sauna Steamworks in Arnhem. Daar wordt iedereen gerespecteerd, klantvriendelijke staff, schoon en hygiënisch, mooie relax ruimte.Keurig en hygiënisch restaurant, en vooral belangrijk,,,rustige ontspannende muziek, zoals her hoor in een sauna wat bedoelt is om ook te kunnen ontspannen, in de Thermos Amsterdam lijkt het wel een snoeiharde houseclub!!!@another stupid visitor....welcome to reality, welcome to a world of owners who can make easy money, a world of a almost pedophile behaviour of that guy called "Janus" dripping himself all over young berber boys who allow him to touch, kiss and make him feel superior as monet talks even in 2011...Daar heeft "another stupid visitor" volledig gelijk in, Zo is dat ook mijn ervaring.
