Where to stay during pride?
Amsterdam Pride is a very popular event and it takes place in the high tourist season, so plan ahead as most hotels will be fully booked.
Stay in a hotel near Rembrandtplein (see our map) and almost everything will be on walking distance. A little further from the city center, the areas Old South and Old West are also very nice to stay.
Just try to avoid staying outside the highway A10, from there it's quite far to travel, especially at night.
Where to stay

We created a map to explain the areas.
- Dam square is considered the center point of Amsterdam
- Walking/driving/public transport times in the text balloons are the approximate time to reach Dam square from there.
- The city center is the oldest part of Amsterdam, with all canals. This is by far the best area to stay. Everything can be walked, museums, bars, clubs, sight seeing. But hotels are expensive.
- The areas surrounding the city center are definitely great too. The vondelpark area is beautiful, and by short tram ride you are in the center. Also East and West are great.
- Noord (north) is an upcoming part, but it takes more time to go to the city center, as there is no bridge, just ferry's, and tunnels for cars, metro and busses.
- The red marks A10 is the highway surrounding Amsterdam. Outside this highway you can still be in the center quite fast by metro. However those stop running after midnight.
- The areas marked Sloterdijk (a train station) and ZuidOost have several very large hotel towers, for better prices. But not great if you plan to have a night out.
- In weekends taxis/ubers might get pricey and hard to get at night.
